Amazon.com Product Description Amazon.com Product Description The RMR-DLS315 is a completely integrated radar/laser detector which responds not only to all the radar guns in use today, including "Stalker," but also to the other latest development in speed monitoring devices--the laser gun. This unit scrambles all police laser speed measurement devices and operates automatically. A completely integrated radar/laser detector with laser scrambling. Click to enlarge. | Includes coiled vehicle power cord. | Bracket for windshield mounting included. | Wide Detection This model provides distinct visual and audible alerts to warn you of the presence of X, K, and all kinds of Ka Band radar guns in the front and rear of you. It also provides 360 degree laser detection with adaptive laser tracking (ALT) for better laser performance. VG-2 and VG-3 Immunity VG-2 and VG-3 are devices police use to detect radar detectors. This model provides the benefit of 'undetectability' by alerting you to the presence of VG-2 and VG-3 signals. Advanced Micro-Scan Scans the radar bands 2-4 times faster than as any other detector. This allows Rocky Mountain devices to pick up the new P.O.P. radar that no one else can. Smart-Scan When Rocky Mountain devices detect radar in one scan, they repeat that scan, instead of completing programmed scans and returning. This means they detect quicker with less false alarms than any other detector. Integrated Laser Scrambler Disables Police LIDAR Lidar sends out laser pulses and measures how long it takes to hit your car and come back. From the speed of light it can determine your range. It sends out several more pulses and calculates your speed from the change in distance over time. The RMR-DLS315 transmits pulses electronically timed at 100 feet apart. This only allows the Lidar to see up to 100 feet so it is unable to calculate your speed. Safety Alert and Safety Warning System The RMR-DLS315 unit incorporates the Safety Alerts (SA) and Safety Warning Systems (SWS) detection. This safety feature warns you of the presence of potential road hazards by detecting signals from safety transmitting devices. What's in the Box RMR-DLS315, Windshield Bracket with Suction Cups, Hook and Loop Fastener Tape, Power Cord, Spare Fuse, User Manual

The beeping noise confirms that I am about to receive a ticket April 7, 2010 Kalael (Kansas City, MO.) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Rocky Mountain Radar DLS-315 Radar/laser Detector and Laser Scrambler
With a false sense of security I was driving 10 MPH over the limit when it faintly beeped. That is when the cop said can I see your licence and proof of insurance. The beeping just confirmed my ticket. It didn't go off until I could see him. Save your money and buy a brand name detector. This is a piece of cheap plastic junk.
Completely misleading on the laser 'scrambling' claim January 5, 2010 Steve F (Atlanta, GA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is possible to jam police laser guns, however it requires sophisticated technology to do so. Laser Interceptor and Blinder jammers are two of the more reliable systems. You can do a web search for selling prices, but I can tell you the various LI & Blinder systems sell for 10 to 20 times the price of this RMR unit. You're not going to get any laser scrambling/jamming protection for $44, and even the radar detection capability is going to very limited. Save up a little more money and get a low end Whistler unit, which will at least give you a decent chance of detecting radar.
RMR Is Garbage November 9, 2009 D. Maso (USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
RMR (Rocky Mountain Radar)'s detectors aren't good at anything other then annoying you and getting you a ticket fast. If you depend on this company's detectors to save you from police radar/laser be prepared to get a ticket if your a speeder (8 MPH + over).
I am a big hobbyist with police countermeasures and speed measuring devices. I have owned/operated many detectors out there from very affordable to the most expensive. I own police issue Ka band radar (Stalker ATR) and Laser guns (Kustom Pro Laser 2) that I test detectors/jammers with.
Out of all the detectors on the market, this company is hands down the bare bottom of the pack with little to no acceptable performance.
They do not jam laser at all, they barely can detect radar all the time or far enough away to be useful.
RMR's detectors claim abilities that even the most expensive detectors on the market $400-$1,000.00 + have a hard time doing.
The summary:
1. Any kind of early detection range is non existent - range sucks.
2. Cant even detect Ka instant on.
3. Cant detect POP
4. Cant detect laser let alone jam it in time
5. Doesn't even detect full blast radar all the time.
Save your money, buy something that is worth a crap by Bel/Escort or most preferably Valentine One.
Nice unit October 12, 2009 Joseph N. Vitale very nice unit. be sure to turn on scrambler. nice product and piece of mind. well worth the money
Do Not Buy This September 11, 2009 withoutreason (Florida) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Be aware that the manufacturer is known for false claims on their products. Do not expect this product to have any effect on police laser. DO NOT RISK YOUR LICENSE BY USING THIS PRODUCT. Research the company, products, the claims and the investigations against them. If you want a radar detector, look at Valentine 1, Escort/Bel or Whistler.
