    Amazon.com Product Description
Whether you commute to work or school on the freeway, drive for a living, or just like to go on an occasional recreational trip, the Cobra XRS-9330 Radar/Laser Detector is an invaluable addition to your motor vehicle. Designed for the convenience of 24-hour use, the XRS-9330 has an extra bright digital display that can be dimmed for nighttime driving. Measuring 4.40 x 2.70 x 1.30 inches and weighing just 4.8 ounces, the XRS-9330 can be set just about anywhere within easy view when you're driving, and then stored in your glove compartment when you're parked.

The XRS-9330 detects six different radar signals, including the Ku wavelength band that is widely used in Europe and that has been recently approved for use in the United States. In addition, the XRS-9330 is completely invisible to the VG-2 and Spectre radar detector detectors while it alerts you if either the VG-2 or the Spectre is in use in your area.

The XRS-9330 is also sensitive to four different laser signals, and with its LaserEye feature giving you a 360-degree detection range, you'll always be able to tell if you're driving through a surveillance area. And perhaps most importantly, for your own safety and the safety of other drivers sharing the road with you, the XRS-9330 detects two emergency alert systems to give you advance warning of road hazards, keeping you prepared when emergency vehicles are nearby. In addition to detecting the Safety alert system, the XRS-9330, like most of Cobra's Radar/Laser detectors, offers Cobra's exclusive feature of detecting the presence of the Strobe alert system, which emergency crews use to control traffic signals.

So get the Cobra XRS-9330 Radar/Laser Detector for your car or truck, and you'll be prepared for just about anything when you're behind the wheel.

Note: Radar detectors can be used without restriction in well over 40 states, but restrictions apply in a few states. Please check with your state department of motor vehicles or highway patrol if you have questions about whether there are restrictions in your area.

    What's in the Box
XRS 9330 radar/laser detector, windshield bracket, straight power cord, hook and loop fasteners, and owner's manual.

4 out of 5 stars Cobra 9330 Worth a deal... it works!   June 28, 2010
    kryarwolf11
It works for all 12 bands well. Highway you get less than a 1/4 of a mile warning, not a very ling distance, but it does pick em up! Mine is mounted on windshield with aftermarket brand suction cups and stays put nicely. Many of the reviews for this item state that the power chord is too short. I use it in a 1988 Chevy S10 Blazer and I have about 18" left over of power chord. I bought it used for about $35.00 on Amazon.com. I wanted the 9330, but couldn't find one used, as it got better reviews. I am satisfied with this one. Very sensitive, picks up everything! Get it for under $40 bucks and it's worth it!

    3 out of 5 stars It's good, but....   April 21, 2010

This device works great in small towns, but it has one small problem. It does not detect whatever the Houston police are using. Okay, not such a small problem after all.

1 out of 5 stars Poor Range   March 24, 2010
    S. M. Alotaibi (SA, Jeddah)
very Poor range, it'll detect a signal as close as 10 meters which was very disappointing for me.

1 out of 5 stars Junk, save up and buy a real one   September 23, 2009

First off, let me say that giving this radar detector one star is one star too much.

When I got this detector I thought it was the greatest thing ever (What a fool I was!). I used it on a 6 hour road trip to and from and it picked up EVERYTHING. Now, 4 months later, the thing doesn't work. Now I know some cops don't keep their radar on when they are driving... But EVERY cop and every police station I've passed in the last 4 months must be on a radar strike or this thing simply does not work (Oh, and I pass two police stations every day going to work also... so 4 times per day if you count the whole commute)... PLUS I got a photo radar ticket on the highway!!! The thing never went off!!! Need I say anything more?

But that's not the only feature this wonderful device has! The compass is truly a remarkable thing. Using this detector, I have found out that I do not live South West from my place of work... I live NORTH from it... Oh, and when I drive back home it's the weirdest thing... I should be going South, right? But no... I still go NORTH!!! In fact, everywhere I go I always seem to be driving NORTH in my car. It's quite comical. I've felt like throwing the thing out of my window so many times that I had to just quit using it. Where I live, everything is NESW. I get a little irate at it when I'm heading South and the thing NEVER changes from North. I've reset the thing countless times, too. My iPHONE is a far better compass than this waste of material. Hmmm, maybe I can even download a radar app for my phone for free?

The point is this: I will never buy a Cobra again. Waste of $50 plus $180 for my ticket. $49.99 too much if you ask me. I could have used that $230 towards a REAL radar detector.

Please learn from my mistake and buy a real detector.

3 out of 5 stars useless for laser detection   August 21, 2009
    Vitaliy Malyshev (NJ)
I had it for couple years now, and just last month it picked up laser gun on a highway for the first time, it was kinda late response, I saw police couple seconds earlier anyway.
I see cops on highways with lasers I guess all the time, but no response from this radar.
May be they use some kinda knew ones.
K and Ka signals range also no good.
